A simple test for agencies


If you are an agency, try the following test to see if you might benefit from my help?

1. Is the brief from your client always clear about the value and benefits to be communicated to customers?

2. When you ask your client for clarification of a brief, or the detail of what needs to be communicated, are they always able to provide comprehensive and clear answers?

3. Do your creative teams always agree about what they think the client is trying to communicate or achieve?

a) Yes?

b) No?

4. Does your briefing form template include a section on the core value proposition within the communication?

a) Yes?

b) No?

5. Are your team always able to extrapolate the value proposition and/or key answers from the client that they need to write a clear creative and strategic brief?

a) Yes?

b) No?

6. Is there always clear evidence to support your client’s claims of competitive advantage or differentiation?

a) Yes?

b) No?

7. If you asked every one of your clients what the value proposition was for their company/brand, would they all be able to provide a satisfactory answer?

a) Yes?

8. If a client says they are not happy that the solution or concepts you have presented are appropriate, are you always sure you know why?
