Workshops & Facilitation

“When you’re busy fighting off those alligators, the man who reminds you about draining the swamp could just be telling you something you already know.

On the other hand, if he gets you thinking more clearly, re-energised and refocused on the objective - and maybe adds a few useful new ideas along the way... then perhaps he’s worth talking to.”

A well facilitated brand or value proposition workshop will help clients explore fundamental questions about their business - including sales and marketing strategies, product or service development, and both employer and employee branding. It can also be of particular value to clients and their creative agency teams when seeking new inspiration and fresh thinking, or simply trying to distil clarity from a complex brief.

I’ve facilitated workshops for small businesses and their leadership teams, at board level for large corporates, and for both marketing and HR teams (for both external and internal communications programmes). These workshops are invariably stimulating, often challenge established thinking, and ensure that companies 'step away', to look at themselves through the eyes of their customers.

My experience has included facilitating such meetings and workshops for:

•  advertising/marketing campaign messaging

•  branding and brand development

•  business strategy review

•  culture and behavioural change

•  customer relationship management

•  internal communications strategy

•  marketing and communications strategy

•  pitch and tender responses

•  product, market and competitive positioning

•  setting of service standards

•  web and digital strategy

“Andy - Many thanks for your help with our Being Purple programme. The Exec. Team were really struggling with trying to define the brand behaviours we wanted to establish for Team Members across the business. Without your intervention to facilitate the two workshops for board members and guide us through the process we would never have got there.”

Facilitating a brand proposition review led to development of a rebrand for this offsite construction company. The programme resulted in a modernised image and included the ‘Intelligent Space’ strapline that I created to reflect their versatile temporary buildings concept. This strapline also underpinned marketing into their specialist industry sectors with...
    Caring Space (for healthcare); Learning Space (for education);
Living Space (for housing/hotels); and Working Space (for offices).
